Two Months Old Already

It's hard to believe Riley's two months old already. His first day of daycare was last week on 2/19 which was also my B'day. It was hard to leave him that day but easier the next day. I kept him home on Friday 2/22 cause he had a fever and DH took him to the doctor. Early Saturday morning he started throwing up and we had to take him to the ER where I watched them put in an IV to give him fluid and then they did a spinal tap to check for meningitis. That's something I hope never to see again. They ended up admiting him to the hospital and diagnosing him with the flu. We spent Saturday, Sunday and Monday in the hospital with the kid. I ended up in the ER on Sunday thanks to the flu and not being able to keep down my medications. We are all doing better now and he's back in daycare and I'm back at work. Daycare keeps telling me what a well behaved kid he is and how he doesn't cry. Then I get him home and he screams at me.

It's friday though and now we get a couple of days off to actually relax this weekend... I hope. I keep trying to stitch but the kid starts to fuss after about half an hour of stitching which drives me nuts. DH will switch off with me so I am getting an hour in here and there. I have managed to finish a Dragon Dreams since the kid was born but that's been it. I'm working on a Victoria Sampler that I'm gonna finish this weekend too. I have to get back to fish city after that though.

I'm still alive.... I think

Sorry to not have posted in so long. The child has been occupying every spare moment of my day that doesn't involve sleep. I think I'm finally finding a routine which helps. Of course now that I've found a routine, it's back to work on 2/18 and I'll have to adjust that routine.

I've been through over 20 doctor visits and a case of the 3 day measles since my last post. I told them I didn't want a booster shot at the hospital but they insisted that I had to have one or they couldn't release me from the hospital so I end up with the measles and of course Riley got them too just to make life fun.

Not much else going on in my neck of the woods. I have a boring life of sleep, change the kid, feed the kid, sleep.... and so forth. I get some laundry done and cook occasionally just to spice things up :)
